One of the best ways to make money with affiliate marketing is with seo or search engine optimization.
It does take some time to do affiliate marketing this way but, once you get going sometimes it can stay there for years making you money all that time.
Affiliate SEO takes Time
Making affiliate commission does take time when trying to use seo to get leads.
Many have reported it can take up to a year or sometimes even two years to produce income this way. And, most of those people write many articles for their blogs. They also promote those posts and even do some link building.
But, if you keep at it and do not look at it like a job and instead just keep focusing on writing content it will pay off. But, you need high-quality content as well.
Most of the websites making good affiliate commisions have hundreds of articles on their blogs.
Just Keep Writing
If you want to make money with affiliate seo, keep writing your best content. Just stay focused because it’s the content that matters most.
Do whatever you can to stay writing. This is especially true if you are in a huge niche with lots of competitors.
Tips To Keep your site SEO Friendly
As writing and content are the most important part of any seo campaign, there are things you can do to keep your site friendly to search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
Try To Create Long Content
One of the ways seo’s used to do was to create content for every variation of a keyword. This is no longer the case.
Google likes longer form content these days and they like it more topical.
There is truly no hard or fast rule when it comes to how many words you need on a page but, it has to be good.
When you make a page, try and make that page better than any other page on the internet for that keyword or topic. Create content no one else is creating.
Make your content useful and helpful. Use videos, charts, quotes, links and more to make it high quality.
When you create content, try and tell a story about things in your posts. Back up all you say with links and quotes from your resources.
Do Not Keyword Stuff Your Pages
If you have a focus keyword you are using for your page, usually, you will only need to mention that keyword a few times on the page. Google is very good these days at knowing what a page is all about from the content.
Use WhiteHat Seo
True whitehat seo is the process of allowing your content to gain links on it’s own. This usually does not happen and most sites need some form of link building.
But try to focus on true whitehat seo if you can. Once you are getting tons of traffic, you will sleep much better at night for it and not have to worry about a Google update.
Do not use blackhat seo.
Go After Low Fruit Keywords
This means doing some keyword research and finding the words that get less traffic and have less competition.
If you do this correctly, then your traffic will start to rise quickly without many links.
Then, once your site gains more trust in Google, you can start to either write about what you want or go after higher competition keywords.
Interlink your posts
A very important process for seo is internal links on your website. These internal links will help not only Google understand your site better but it will also help your visitors navigate your site better.
Do not overlook this process, I know it takes a lot of work but it’s imperative you do this.
Here is a guide to internal links.
Make Sure Your Site Is Mobile Friendly
One of the most important things you can do these days is to make sure your website looks good on any mobile device. The reason is becasue you want to have your mobile visitors read your site easily and over 60% of the visitors on Google use a mobile device.
SEO is ever-changing but also staying the same. In some forms of Karate, to master the art for a black belt, students must demonstrate they have mastered only 4 moves.
SEO in many ways is the exact same concept. I believe getting better and digging deeper into the main concepts is where Google is going.
The number one thing Google is looking for is relevance. Why? Because straight relevance leads to better searcher satisfaction.
But, if we dig deeper into relevance we can see, it means many more things an SEO or webmaster must accomplish.
When targeting a keyword, you must get into the mind of the searcher. Why did they search for a keyword, what are they hoping to accomplish?
Asking these questions means you must have quality content for the searcher to browse through and feel satisfied their question was answered.
So, to get there in 2018 these are my pick for the four things you need to keep an open eye for.
1. Being relevant
2. Quality content with fact checking
3. LSI and TF IDF
4. Company mentions without links
As I covered previously, relevance is key. When you develop content that is truly relevant to what someone is searching for, you have satisfied.
But again, that content needs to be quality. And, one of the things Google is now starting to keep a keen eye on is facts. Now and in the future, they are building a fact-checking database where they will be able to close out useless content that is not honest and true.
Latent semantic indexing helps Google determine if the content is quality and comprehensive, much of this is now being looked at with Google Rankbrain.
Along with LSI is TF IDF, which is a way to see how important words are in a document. Google has been using this technology for years and is only getting better at implementing it.
Links have been all the rage for years and will no doubt continue to dominate for a while. But, Search engines like Google and Bing can see mentions about any company that does not include backlinks.
And, if there are enough and in the right places, these mentions can be used to help rank their content in search.
