Blogging seems to be what everyone is doing these days. But, the question is are you creating content for your business. Here are 7 reasons why you need a blog.
Not, it doesn’t matter if you have an affiliate business, a local business or are a huge company, you need to start producing content. And the reason so many people and companies are blogging is that it works. It works great for sales and marketing and expanding a business.
But, if you are still on the fence and now sure if having a blog can work then grab yourself something good to drink and read this post.
I’m going to cover today why you need to start blogging and creating your content machine.
Why You Need A Blog For Branding
this is really the number one strategy why you need to be producing quality content on a daily basis.
You see, although content marketing works and works well, it is a long term strategy. It takes time to build the machine and get it going. But, once you get it going it can be the ultimate branding machine.
You may not see sales right away from your efforts when creating content but when producing quality content over time, something magical begins to happen.
People start to trust you because you are showing up all the time in search results. When people use a search engine they are ultimately looking for an answer to something or they want to fill a need. And many people are interested in the same things about a concept and if you are showing in front of them whenever they do a search, they will eventually try your brand.
Now, not everyone one will try out what you have to offer but it defiantly increases your chances over time.
There is a buying cycle people go through with products and services and it could take someone anywhere from 5 to 14 times of seeing something before they buy it.
It’s actually different for each niche but that’s a general idea. You want to be there every-time they search for something having to do with your business.
Take, for instance, I search for many things having to do with WordPress. Obviously, it’s something I am greatly interested in because of my business.
Well, just about every time I do a search for something WordPress the site WP-Beginner comes up. I mean just about every single time I am searching for guides, help and what not.
Well, because of WP Beginner my company bought the Optin Monster plugin through their link. And why did I buy the plugin? Because I trusted Wp Beginner over time after seeing them so much.
It didn’t happen overnight, I didn’t buy the plugin the first time I saw it. I actually went back to Wp Beginner a few times reading about it and then finally decided on the purchase.
Again, content marketing is long term, it takes time and sometimes a huge amount of time before you start seeing results.
But, if you stick with it and keep writing your best, the strategy will pay off big-time.
You’ll Start To Be Found For More Keywords
Now, if you produce epic content say around 2500 – 5000-word posts, you will be amazed at the number of keywords you will start seeing in your analytics. People will start finding you for so many different keywords and many of them will be long-tail keywords never before searched in Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Marketing through search engines really is like a lottery, the more words you have the more you will be found just like buying many tickets to a lottery or raffle. You increase your chances 100 fold if you keep producing quality content.
You will, however, want to plan out your content a little and learn how to write. It will do you or anyone else any good if you write junk. The reason is words are very important, it’s what makes up the internet. So, you will need to learn how to keep your readers interested and how to convert them.
You Can Get Your Message Across
One of the most important things for any business is getting the word out. And a blog is what can make this possible on many different levels.
You can talk about company news, how to use your products when to use your products and more.
If you do your blog right, you will gain readers who will come to your blog straight away and not through a search engine. So, you will need to think of content for them also. Many of them will be your customers.
Establish Yourself as an Authority
One thing blogging can do for you is to establish yourself and your business as the authority in your niche. This means people will look to you to answer for their problems. And if you have what they are looking for they will come back to your blog over and over again.
And the best part is they will start to trust your recommendations because you are the expert in your niche.
Increases traffic
One great thing a blog will do for you increases the traffic you are getting. And most of that traffic will come from search engines, more specifically Google.
But, you want to write good quality helpful articles that will actually help people with their problems.
And, when you have enough articles and are getting a huge amount of traffic you can do all kinds of things like.
- Build an email list and market to others over and over again
- Monetize your site with ads
- Send traffic to an affiliate offers page
- A/B test different offers
And much much more.
Trust me when I tell you that increasing your traffic to your blog is paramount for your online business. It’s the number one thing you want to do.
Summary
Traffic is the life of any website on the internet and with more of it you will be in command of your life.
But, if you are going the blogging article route you will have to be prepared to work at it. It’s not easy by any means.
You will need to do things like:
- Learn how to type
- Learn SEO
- Learn how to write
- Learn how to be consistent
And lastly, you will want to make sure you are writing good quality articles when it comes to content.
